Our journey together began five years ago at a bar in downtown Rochester, called Dragonfly. It was one night in October after we had each graduated from college, Sam having returned from The Bronx and Kirby settling into Rochester after his time at RIT. As Sam stood shivering outside due to inadequate attire for the climate, Kirby offered his flannel for warmth. The following day, Sam returned the flannel to Kirby,
and the rest was history!
The Beginning
Our shared interests and hobbies are a testament to our bond. We love spending time with our dogs, tending to our garden, playing pickleball with friends, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. We delight in learning from each other's hobbies and often unwind with a good bottle of wine, appreciating the moments we spend together.
What we cherish most about our relationship is the comfort and authenticity we find in each other's presence. Being unapologetically ourselves without judgment makes us happiest, and we are excited to spend all our years and adventures side by side.
As we look to the future, we eagerly anticipate navigating new experiences, enjoying our longtime favorite pastimes, and supporting each other every step of the way.
On our third annual vacation to the Adirondacks with our two beloved dogs, we stayed at our favorite rental house, a secluded haven by a beautiful pond surrounded by a hundred acres of pristine land. With no cell service, it was the perfect place to disconnect from the world and connect with each other. On the last day, during our tranquil morning coffee on the dock, Kirby proposed, which has become a beautiful memory that we will cherish forever.
